He graduated from the School of Medicine, Mansoura University in 2000, First of his class, Excellent with Honor Grade (Class no.33, 2000). He received his M.D. degree in 2011 and specialized in pediatric cardiology and electrophysiology.  He is a member of the European society of Cardiology (ESC ID: 437403) and other related branching international working groups (12 groups). Also, a member of The Pan Arab congenital heart disease Association (PACHDA). 

He took multiple training courses in medical and health professions education locally (Mansoura University, Egypt) and internationally (Taibah University, Saudi Arabia & the university of Michigan Medical School, USA). Also, he has publications related to medical education. He was announced to be a Certified Case Designer and Clinical examiner in the Saudi commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).

He was a pivot member in inducting the Manchester medical program in Taibah university, KSA and acted as an editor for many medical books related to the program. He is an expert in training medical colleges on different teaching methods in the Manchester medical program (e.g. TCD, Clinical debrief, PPD, ECE).

He was a member of the quality team, sharing in the implementation of quality assurance system in Pediatric Department, Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, Egypt leading to its accreditation by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) in December 2010. On the other hand, as a principal member of the head quality committee, he shared in fulfillment of the full accreditation of the academic program of Faculty of medicine, Taibah University, by The National Commission for Academic Accreditation & Assessment (NCAAA) in 2022.

Dr. Hany serves as a member of arbitration committees for pediatric specialty promotions in Egypt, an editorial board member and reviewer of several peer-reviewed international pediatric and cardiology journals e.g. PLOS ONE, Quality of Life Research, World Journal of Pediatrics, Saudi Medical Journal, Pan African Medical Journal ….etc. He took many research grants internationally as a principal investigator and a co-investigator. His published researches reached up to 50 papers & his H-index is 13.
