What are the fields of academic advising?

  1. Educational, moral and professional guidance:

It aims to help students overcome the difficulties they face during their studies and enlighten them on ways to use their time.

It also aims to raise the efficiency of students, discover distinguished students in various skills and fields, and modify their inappropriate behaviours.

  1. Psychological guidance:

This is done by helping the student identify the problems that may negatively affect him and be a cause of internal conflict with himself or external conflict with those around him, then trying to find the best way to solve them. It also aims to overcome the psychological difficulties and stress for the student during exam times and provide psychological assistance during psychological shocks that the student may go through.

  1. Educational guidance:

This is done by enlightening students on proper study methods, caring for outstanding students, following up on those who are struggling academically, and studying everything related to the difficulties that hinder the student's academic progress.

  1. Prophylactic guidance:

It aims to create a sound educational climate to protect students from falling into problems of all kinds by expanding students’ awareness and informing them of the various problems, their causes, and ways to avoid falling into them.
